Realization description
The subject of the contract included the design and execution of the extension and reconstruction of the existing mechanical-biological wastewater treatment plant with single-stage mechanical-biological treatment and sludge processing.
Scope of work:
- Extension of the biological section – addition of secondary sedimentation tanks, a pumping station and sludge discharge and recirculation system.
- Improvement of chemical treatment – coagulant station.
- Sludge modernisation – new stabilisation tank.
- Full automation and monitoring – implementation of SCADA for process management
The capacity of the treatment plant after expansion and reconstruction is:
Qavg = 1890 m³/d
Qmaxd = 2835 m³/d,
RLM = 12 600 MR due to BOD5.
During the works, the existing treatment plant was expected to operate continuously, i.e. sewage was treated without any technological interruptions during the implementation stage of the investment project.
