Realization description
The works covered the construction of a second process train and the reconstruction of existing facilities. The result is a nearly twofold increase in the facility’s average daily capacity from 300 m³/d to 550 m³/d; an increase in the permissible pollutant load from 2,580 PE to 4,733 PE; improvement in the efficiency and performance of the existing treatment train; and optimization of the facility’s energy consumption.
An integrated, modern monitoring and control system for the wastewater treatment plant operation was built. As a result of the works performed, the process train efficiency was improved, and the energy consumption of the entire facility was optimized.
The scope of works included the following elements:
- Construction of a new raw sewage pumping station;
- Construction of a biological reactor with a capacity of 210 m³/d;
- Construction of a secondary clarifier with a diameter of 8 m;
- Expansion of the existing reactor to include an anaerobic chamber;
- Implementation of a sludge dewatering system – a new belt press located in the technical building, complete with auxiliary systems, a dewatered sludge conveyor, and a liming installation – new facility;
- Implementation of a control and monitoring system for the entire treatment plant;
- Installation of site lighting and internal roads/walkways related to the expansion;
- Installation of a new septage receiving station.
