Investor: Dobroszyce Municipality
Investment value: 3 973 779,39 PLN
Investment type: build
Technology type: ZBW-BOS
Realization description
The project involves increasing more the capacity of the treatment plant more than twofold – to 500 m³ per day – which will enable it to receive wastewater from more residents and from industrial plants. The condition of surface water will also be improved through better wastewater treatment technology. The main focus is the water level of the River Dobra, one of the tributaries of the Oder.
New facilities will be built: a raw sewage pumping station and a mechanical sewage treatment hub with a shelter. The biological reactor – the heart of any treatment plant – will be rebuilt and refurbished. The most important change is the conversion of the denitrification chamber to an aerobic-anaerobic chamber and the change of the aeration system. We will replace the sludge dewatering and hygienization station and upgrade the control and automation system. It will collect and display operational data from the facility in a modern way and archive it in real time. This will facilitate proper and trouble-free operation.
The scope of construction work consists of:
- Reconstruction of the basket grating chamber in terms of filling cavities in the inner tank shell and protecting it against the corrosive effects of sewage, replacement of the existing basket grating with an acid-resistant steel basket grating equipped with a mechanical winch.
- Construction of a new raw sewage pumping station including demolition of the old pumping station. The new pumping station should be fitted with two submersible pumps. An electrically powered davit will be constructed for lowering and raising the pumps. The pumping station’s operating system will be fully automated.
- Construction of a mechanical wastewater treatment hub. The new mechanical node will consist of, among other things: a screen grit chamber, a blower-fed aeration system for the sieve grit chamber, a sand washer, a bypass equipped with a manual grate, and a support structure for the screen grit chamber.
- Construction of a shelter to protect the mechanical node for wastewater treatment.
- Reconstruction and refurbishment of the ZBW-BOS-200 biological reactor
Conversion in the existing process building:
- Replacement of blowers with increased capacity blowers located in the existing blower station room. New blowers to be installed in soundproof enclosures. In addition, ventilation in the blower station room in the form of two wall intakes will be installed.
- Replacement of dewatering and hygienization stations.
- Reconstruction of the existing electrical installation.
- Control and instrumentation automation system. A monitoring system was designed to control the wastewater treatment process and transmit relevant signals to a computer. The system must be capable of performing communication functions and collecting data from the facility, e.g. maximum and minimum effluent levels, operation – standstill of pumps, blowers, agitator, screen grit chamber, basket grate, sludge dewatering station.
