Realization description
The contract is divided into the following stages:
Stage I comprises the preparation of the complete design documentation, including a multidisciplinary design, together with obtaining all required administrative decisions, permits, approvals and technical agreements.
Stage II comprises the construction and commissioning of the wastewater treatment plant, including: modernisation of selected process installations and facilities, demolition of obsolete and worn-out structures, equipment and components, construction of new facilities and installations, process commissioning and start-up.
The works will be carried out at an operating wastewater treatment plant while maintaining uninterrupted wastewater treatment throughout the implementation period. The treated effluent is discharged into the Chotla watercourse, which subsequently flows into the Wierzbiak River, the Kaczawa River and ultimately the Oder River. Consequently, each element of the project will directly contribute to improving the quality of surface waters in the region.
Modernisation objectives:
- significant improvement in wastewater treatment performance and in the ecological condition of the Kaczawa and Oder rivers;
- improvement of sludge treatment and stabilisation processes, including preparation of the sludge for further recovery, reuse or disposal;
- optimisation of plant operating and maintenance costs;
- maximisation of process control and plant operation automation;
- implementation of energy-efficient equipment and process solutions;
- improvement of the durability, reliability and operational safety of the facilities through comprehensive refurbishment and rehabilitation works.
